Since 1990, Someren Glen, a retirement community in Centennial, CO, has been a trusted provider of quality personalized care and services in a south metro Denver neighborhood.
Christian Living Communities (CLC) owns and runs Someren Glen. CLC was founded right here in Denver with a deep commitment to care for area seniors. Today CLC serves more than 1,000 older adults of every belief in many innovative senior living communities in Colorado.
Someren Glen’s mission infuses everything we do: “To enrich the quality and dignity of life for older adults through services and care that reflect Christian love, respect, and compassion toward each individual.”
Here’s a glimpse into the warm inviting environment you’ll find in our senior living community. Discover the wonderful people, the beautiful setting and a world of possibilities.
Someren Glen is a Continuing Care community with a one-time community fee, not a large entrance fee. We offer a broad continuum of care and a wide variety of living options. We consistently receive high ratings from comprehensive audits by the U.S. Government Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
As a not-for-profit, we serve our residents, not shareholders.
Life at Someren Glen is about possibilities – paint your life canvas to be the masterpiece you’ve always wanted.
In partnership with the Helen K. and Arthur E. Johnson Foundation a not-for-private, family foundation, CLC opened The Johnson Center in 1990. At the time it was the only nursing home in Arapahoe County offering both long-term care and assisted living services.
A few years later, again with generous support from The Johnson Foundation another building was added to the campus, The Village offering residential or independent living as well as more assisted living apartments. CLC also leased land to Porter Hospice.
As the years went by the campus expanded services to become the full continuum of care it is known for today. Yet, not everyone realized the two buildings were really part of one neighborhood – one community – one continuum of care.
In 2013 we repositioned the campus under one identifying name, Someren Glen Retirement Community, so that everyone – residents, families and the greater community – would come to know the promise of this full continuum community. We cherish and build upon our Johnson Center roots.
Completed in early 2018, our newly renovated Transitional Care Neighborhood offers a modern, warm and welcoming space for rehabilitation.
Someren Glen sits on a sprawling 14 acres, nestled in the heart of a charming and serene residential neighborhood. While our community offers a retreat from bustling city life, it is also conveniently located near Centennial’s amenities and attractions, including parks and open spaces, shopping centers, medical centers and hospitals, and other essential services.
At Someren Glen, we are dedicated to improving the quality of life for older adults. We are proud to offer a variety of life enrichment programs.
