Someren Glen’s School Supply Drive

The calendar says summer, but the start of school is just around the corner. That means school supplies shopping for many of Someren Glen’s team members. You can make a difference for their children and grandchildren by giving them the educational tools they need to succeed and give much-needed support to team members who have worked so hard to support older adults through the pandemic. This is an easy, impactful way to show your appreciation for associates and help alleviate the stress of preparing for the school year.

Through August 15^th, Someren Glen will be collecting backpacks, pencils, folders, notebooks, and such, to be distributed to associates with children or grandchildren before the first day of school.

This is a great way to come together and show we care as supplies are costly – upwards of $65 for an elementary-school-aged student and more for middle school and high-school students whose supply lists often include expensive calculators and reference books.

Interested in helping out? Visit Someren Glen to drop off your donations. There will be a box located in the lobby where you can drop off your school supply donations.

You may also make a monetary donation by:

• Going online – please select the General Mission Fund or specific community you’d like to support, and put “School Supply Drive” in the comments section
• Writing a check and dropping it off at the community – please make the gift out to “Christian Living Communities” an write “School Supply Drive” and the community name in the Memo line
• Leaving a cash donation at the community – if you would like to be acknowledged for your gift, please leave your name as well.

All cash donations are needed by Aug. 8^th in order to provide enough time to shop and stuff backpacks. Thank you so much for your caring support to our team members. We appreciate you all so much.
